My biggest interests I mean to explore through blogging are the Quran, me, and life.  I find that the gems of the Quran are unfolded when I try to make connections and explain to others.  Usually, this is in a short talk or in a sermon, but I ask Allah that it will also happen through writing about his ayat.

Writing about myself can be difficult because I can be a private person and can be concerned about how what I say about myself can be used against me.  On the other hand, it is cathartic, I think, to share my inner world and life struggles to help understand myself, and perhaps it somehow benefits others.

I believe that Islam is the answer to living a full life individually and collectively.  I hope to identify how practicing Islam can remedy individual and social ills while accentuating the positive dimensions of a particular culture.
